Carrier-1 Launches Cloud Connect

Wholesale colocation tenants receive direct access to leading cloud providers

Carrier-1 data center tenants receive secure, private connections to a hub of public clouds

April 12, 2016; Dallas, TX - Carrier-1 Data Centers, one of the largest data center facilities in North Texas, has announced the launch of Carrier-1 Cloud Connect offering data center clients direct connectivity to leading cloud providers including; Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Google Cloud, Digital Ocean, Bluejeans, HP Helion, Softlayer and others via Equinix Cloud Exchange and Level3's Cloud Connect Platform.

With the new network offering, Carrier-1 expands it's capability beyond traditional colocation by meeting the data center needs of customers with any size IT deployment, including big data, e-commerce, storage, backup, business continuity or high-density compute environments. Carrier-1 Cloud Connect enables colocation clients who are utilizing cloud solutions a way to easily receive secure, private connections to a hub of public clouds. Alternatively, Enterprises who prefer a cloud solution, but require a hybrid colocation solution, can easily incorporate their private infrastructure within the Carrier-1 data center while not sacrificing any computing efficiencies.

Carrier-1 owns and operates a 106,866 square foot data center building in Dallas, Texas. Customers may lease colocation space within the building to utilize the redundant infrastructure and environment controls to maintain 100% uptime while receiving access to over 95 network carriers. The facility meets any compliant requirement including PCI, HIPAA and SOX. Multiple racks, Virtual-PODs, private cages and powered shell space is available now with plenty of space for expansion.
